Jaguar Land Rover India has launched the Jaguar F-Type SVR in the country. These sports cars are available in coupe and convertible configurations and are made by the company’s Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) division.
The Jaguar F-Type SVR is the most powerful F-Type ever. Under its hood lies the Jaguar’s supercharged 5.0-litre V8 engine that churns out 575 PS of power and 700Nm of torque. The engine is coupled with an eight-speed Quickshift transmission. The car can reach zero to 100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds and attain a top speed of 322 km/h. The All-Wheel Drive system along with the Electronic Active Differential ensure that the F-Type SVR has maximum traction and stability in all conditions.
The Jaguar F-Type SVR is also lighter than the regular model. It’s lightweight Titanium and Inconel exhaust system saves 16 kg while the Forged alloy wheels help reduce an overall weight of 13.8 kg. The redesigned suspension knuckles also reduces the weight by 0.6 kg each while the Carbon Ceramic Matrix brake system shaves off 21 kg. All this weight loss translates into more rapid acceleration, more agile handling and sharper braking.
The wide aerodynamic wing of the Jaguar F-Type SVR reduces the drag and provides higher levels of downforce. It gives a drag coefficient reduction of 2.5 percent and a lift coefficient reduction of 15 percent. Other aerodynamic enhancements manage airflow through the engine bay for optimum cooling and balanced downforce. The smooth underfloor and rear diffuser reduce drag, manage air flow and improve stability.
The Jaguar F-Type SVR comes fitted with 4-way SVR Performance seats which are finished in Jet black leather with a distinctive Lozenge Quilt pattern, contrast stitching and micro-piping. It also gets the SVR Logo embossed into the headrests. Customers also have an option to choose the seat material colour in Siena Tan or Red leather.
Other key features available in the Jaguar F-Type SVR include LED headlights featuring LED ‘J’ blade Daytime Running Lights, LED Rear Lights, Touch Pro system, 380 W Meridian Sound System, Connect Pro, InControl Apps, Electric Power Assisted Steering (EPAS), Navigation Pro, Park Assist system and Pedestrian Contact Sensing System.
