After the recent launch of the new Octavia in India, the Czech car maker has now launched its hotter version – the Skoda Octavia vRS. The Skoda Octavia RS 230 is the fastest and most powerful Skoda vehicle to be produced in India ever.
The new 2017 Skoda Octavia vRS is powered by a 4-cylinder 2.0 TSI turbocharged petrol engine which produces 230 PS of power and a torque of 350 Nm. The motor is coupled with a 6-speed DSG with Sport Mode transmission. The Octavia RS can reach 100 km/h from standstill in just 6.8 seconds and its top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h, making it the fastest series-production model in the history of Skoda in India.

The Skoda Octavia RS 230 sits lower by 15 mm compared to the regular Octavia models. It sports 17-inch Hawk Anthracite alloy wheels. The high-performance sedan is equipped with XDS+ limited-slip differential which results in better cornering by gently braking the inner wheels and transmitting more torque to the outer wheels. The car also comes with Variable Ratio Steering system which enables the driver to have sportier control of the car during hi-speed driving as well as comfort control when parking.
The new Skoda Octavia vRS along with the upgraded performance gets visual updates as well. The car features sportier looking bumper with a bold horizontal line and wide honeycomb air inlets which emphasize the car’s wide and sculpted impression. The new full-LED headlamps with the crystalline look are equipped with Adaptive Front Light System (AFS) as standard. The fog lights, tail lights and number plate illumination also feature LED technology as well as a crystalline appearance which is now a part of the brand’s design language. The ‘RS’ logo featuring a gloss-black ‘V’ which stands for victory, is proudly placed on the radiator grille and the tailgate. The 2017 Skoda Octavia vRS also features spoiler at the rear which further accentuates its sporty looks.
Inside, the spacious Skoda Octavia vRS features a high-quality all-black interior. The electrically adjustable front sports seats offer maximum support. The vRS logo is present on the front seats as well the front door sills. The driver seat comes with memory function and can save up to three positions. They also come with. The seats look and feel amazing wrapped in black Alcantara with red topstitching. The flat bottom multifunction sports steering wheel is wrapped in perforated leather and has integrated gear-shift paddles. A color Maxi-DOT display forms part of the instrument cluster. The cabin also features LED ambient lighting that can be set to one of ten colors.

The Skoda Octavia RS 230 is available in four sporty colors – Corrida Red, Race Blue, Candy White and Steel Grey.

The Octavia RS 230 will follow Skoda’s philosophy of One Nation, One Price and will be available at an ex-showroom price of INR 24,62,542/-.
