India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd. has launched a new motorcycle to cater to the mid-class tourer segment. Called as the Yamaha Fazer 25, the new bike will be available in two colour schemes – Rhythmic Red and Soulful Cyan. Bookings for the Fazer 25 are open and the bikes are scheduled for delivery by September 2017.
The new Yamaha Fazer 25 is the faired version of the Yamaha FZ 25 and shares the same mechanicals as well. Powering the tourer is a BS-IV compliant, 249 cc, air-cooled 4-stroke, SOHC, 2-valve, single-cylinder fuel-injected ‘Bluecore’ engine.
The motor produces a power output of 20.9 PS at 8000 rpm and maximum torque of 20 Nm at 6000 rpm. The motorcycle is equipped with a 5-speed gearbox and features a fuel tank which has a carrying capacity of 14-litres.

The 2017 Yamaha Fazer 25 gets an aerodynamic cowl with wind protector, LED headlamp LED position lamps, multi-function LCD display, Split seat with slip-resistant material, Dual horn and LED brake light amongst other features.
The motorcycle weighs 154kg. Braking power comes from a 282 mm disc at the front and a 220 mm disc at the rear. There is no option for ABS as of now. The 2017 Yamaha Fazer 25 rides on 41 mm front telescopic forks and link-less monocross suspension at the rear.
The new Yamaha Fazer 25 is being launched with the theme of ‘Great stories begin on weekends’. The bike is targeted for youngsters in their 20s and early 30s. With this new launch, the company is confident that it will be able to capture a new customer base, especially those who want to step up to a premium touring-friendly motorcycle.
