Triumph India has launched the Triumph Street Scrambler in the country. The adventure style motorcycle comes via the CKD route and has been priced at INR 8.10 Lakh ex-showroom.
The all new Triumph Street Scrambler which is based on the Triumph Street Twin has the iconic silhouette of the Bonneville. It features minimal bodywork with clean lines, contemporary finishes along with a sleek fuel tank, black sculpted engine covers and stylish engine badge.
The bike also features a single throttle body with aluminium finisher, signature clean line ‘hidden cat box’ pipe run, brushed headers along with finned head and header clamps for that contemporary Bonneville look. Other distinctive feature of the bike includes a ribbed Alcantara-style seat with contrast stitching and Triumph embossed logo.
The Triumph Street Scrambler also gets an interchangeable pillion seat and aluminium rear rack, removable pillion pegs and hangers, ‘Bear Trap’ adventure style front pegs and bash plate. Additionally, it gets aluminium headlight bracket and black headlight bezel, number board side panel and dedicated scrambler mirrors.
The stylish scrambler style motorcycle rides on a new chassis and gets longer front and rear shocks, a 19-inch front wheel and 17-inch rear wheel, wider handlebars and a lower seat height. The bike is fitted with dual purpose Metzeler Tourance tyres which provide great grip and precise handling.
Powering the 2017 Triumph Street Scrambler is the same critically acclaimed 900 cc liquid cooled engine that does its duty on the Street Twin. The motor is coupled with a 5-speed gearbox and develops 55 PS of power at 6000 rpm and 80 Nm of torque at 2850 rpm.
The motorcycle features a compact twin high-level exhaust system. The brushed stainless steel headers follow a beautifully crafted flowing line. The intricate header run cleverly integrates the cat box invisibly between the heat shield and the engine barrel and is finished off with brushed stainless steel silencers and contrasting stylish black heat shields. The Street Scrambler’s exhaust is tuned to deliver a rich and full British Twin Scrambler soundtrack.
The Street Scrambler is equipped with a twin piston sliding axial Nissin front calliper with machined branding. It features a 310 mm disc at front and a 255 mm disc at the rear. The bike comes with switchable ABS which can be turned off via the instrument menu.
The Triumph Street Scrambler also features an electronic ride-by-wire system which enhances throttle response and provides a higher level of control and rideability. The switchable traction control system optimises the delivery of torque when traction is compromised to maximise rider safety and control.
The bike also gains LED rear light and an under-seat USB charging socket. Customers can further enhance their riding experience by choosing from over 150 accessories that Triumph offers.

Customers can choose from three exciting paint schemes – Jet Black, Matt Kaki Green and a twin colour scheme Korosi Red / Frozen Silver.
