Jaguar has introduced a performance version its XJ luxury sports saloon. The updates on the Jaguar XJR575 also include a host of technology upgrades and the addition of the latest intelligent safety features. The new XJR575 joins the line-up alongside XJ Luxury, Premium Luxury, Portfolio, R-Sport and top-spec Autobiography.
The new XJR575 is available in standard and long-wheelbase body styles and is the most dynamic derivative in the line-up. The sports sedan is powered by Jaguar Land Rover’s 5.0-litre V8 supercharged engine which delivers 575 PS and 700Nm of torque.
The engine is coupled with an eight-speed automatic ZF transmission. The car can reach to 100 km/h from zero in 4.4 seconds (0-60mph in 4.2 seconds) and can attain a top speed of 300km/h (186mph) in just 44 seconds.
Jaguar XJR575 will be available in two bespoke exterior colour finishes Velocity Blue and Satin Corris Grey which have been created at the Special Vehicle Operations’ state-of-the-art Oxford Road facility. The performance luxury saloon also gets gloss black surroundings for the front and rear bumper along with a lip rear spoiler and exclusive door sills.
The look is further enhanced by twin bonnet louvres, unique sports exhaust with quad pipes and 20-inch Farallon 5 split-spoke ‘Style 5044’ alloy wheels in gloss black finish with red painted brake callipers.
Inside the Jaguar XJR575 gets 575 intaglio and diamond-quilted seating in Jet/Jet or Ivory/Jet colour options. The seats also feature the ‘575’ branding on them. The car also gets bespoke embossed tread plates.
Jaguar had updated the 2018 XJ with a host of technological features which are also present on the XJR575 as well. The luxury car comes with 4G and Wi-Fi capability which can connect to as many as eight devices, allowing the passengers to be online on the go.
The Jaguar XJR575 incorporates a 10-inch touchscreen in the central console and a 12.3-inch Interactive Driver Display. The car also gets features such as the 1300W Meridian Signature Sound System, Full LED headlights with adaptive lighting and automatic high beam assist, Forward Traffic Detection, Lane Keep Assist, Driver Condition Monitor, Adaptive Cruise Control with Queue Assist, Traffic Sign Recognition, Reverse Traffic Detection.
It also includes Autonomous Emergency Braking, Electronic Active Differential, Anti-lock Braking System, Blind Spot Monitoring, 360-degree Surround Camera System and semi-automated bay- and parallel-parking, Adaptive Speed Limiter, All-Surface Progress Control and Jaguar’s intelligent all-wheel-drive technology.
The Jaguar XJR575 is manufactured at Jaguar Land Rover’s Castle Bromwich plant alongside the XE, XF, F-TYPE and XJ models.
