Production commences for Tata Nexon at Ranjangaon facility; Launching this festive season

Tata Motors has flagged-off the first batch of its much-awaited product in the ever growing compact SUV segment, the Tata Nexon from its Ranjangaon facility.

The Nexon is Tata Motors’ fourth car based on the IMPACT design philosophy. The compact SUV gets an extremely contemporary styling and has been engineered to deliver excellence with dynamic handling, sporty performance, smart connectivity and comfort along with advanced safety features.

The Tata Nexon will be powered by a pair of new powertrains – 1.2L Turbocharged Petrol Revotron engine and the 1.5L Diesel Revotorq engine. Both will be paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. The engines are also equipped with three driving modes – Eco, City and Sport.

The new engines for the SUV have been designed and developed after getting extensive feedback from auto enthusiasts and expert drivers. Both the motors have undergone extensive testing across India, on different terrains. Renowned suppliers like AVL, Bosch, Mahale and Honeywell were also part of the engine development.

Tata Motors will soon be dispatching the Nexon to dealerships across India in a phased manner where customers will soon be able to get up, close and personal with this all new SUV. The Tata Nexon is slated for launch during this festive season.
