Maruti Suzuki India, the country’s top automobile manufacturer has launched its highly successful Baleno Automatic model in the much awaited top-end Alpha trim. Since its launch, the Maruti Suzuki Baleno has set the sales charts on fire and with the introduction of this new variant, it will further strengthen the company’s hold in the premium hatchback segment.
Looks like Maruti Suzuki has given in to demands of its customers who wanted a fully featured packed automatic variant of the Baleno. Initially, when launched the Baleno Automatic model was available only in the Delta trim. Seeing the tremendous response the model garnered, the company launched the Baleno Automatic in the Zeta trim. This move still did not satisfy customers looking out for a full feature packed deal and finally, now the Baleno is available in the top-end Alpha variant.
The Maruti Suzuki Baleno Automatic Alpha is powered by an 1197 cc petrol engine that produces 83 hp of power and 115 Nm of torque. This power is transferred to the front wheels via the CVT gearbox. Maruti claims the car can deliver a fuel efficiency of 21.4 kmpl.
Some of the key features of the Maruti Suzuki Baleno Alpha include Projector Headlamps with Daytime Running Lamps, Rear Combination Lamps with LED, SmartPlay Infotainment System with Apple Car and Android Auto, Inbuilt Navigation, Rear Camera with parking sensors, Tilt and Telescopic Steering, coloured TFT multi-information display, UV Cut glass, Push start/stop with smart key, height adjustable driver seat and 16-inch alloy wheels.
Safety wise Maruti Suzuki has equipped the Baleno with dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX Child seat anchorages, Seat belt Pre-tensioners with force safe limiters. The Baleno is built on the new generation Suzuki TECT platform and complies with the full frontal, frontal offset and side impact crash norms.
