Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd has launched the Jeeto Minivan in India. The van will be available in two body forms – hard top and semi hard top and 3 fuel variants – diesel, petrol and CNG. At the moment the company has just launched the Diesel variant of the Mahindra Jeeto Minivan while the other two are in the pipeline.
The Mahindra Jeeto Minivan is powered by the mDura engine which features Direct Injection (DI) and is BSIV emission compliant. The diesel motor generates a class leading power of 16 hp (11.9 kW) and torque of 38 Nm. The minivan also delivers a best in class fuel efficiency of 26 kmpl.
The Jeeto Minivan sports a distinctive and impressive exterior. Inside the passenger carrier gets dual tone interiors and a contemporary dashboard and instrument cluster. Customers can choose from three attractive colours – Diamond White, Sunrise Red and Ultramarine Blue.
The Minivan also has well-cushioned seating and a spacious cabin which provides better headroom and legroom for greater comfort. The like smooth gearshift quality making driving the Jeeto a fatigue free affair. The easy ingress and egress for passengers and the Lockable Glove Box also add to the convenience. The Jeeto Minivan will be offered in many seating configurations as well.
Mahindra also claims that the Jeeto Minivan offers the highest level of safety in its category. The cabin gets a semi-forward design and robust monocoque integrated chassis and body construction to provide better safety to the driver and co-driver in the event of a crash. In addition, Emergency Locking Retractor (ELR) seat belt systems, head restraints and bucket seat provide safety against sudden impact. The van is equipped with front disc brakes and LSPV for efficient braking which is also a first in the segment.
Initially, the semi hard top diesel variant of the Jeeto Minivan will be launched. Later the range will be completed with the introduction of the hard top CNG and diesel variants and the semi hard top CNG and petrol variants. Mahindra claims that the Jeeto Minivan is a better value proposition over its competitors due to its fatigue free car-like driveability, spacious and comfortable cabin and lower maintenance cost.
