Nissan India has launched the new ‘Intelligent & Sporty’ Micra in the country. No this is not the all-new 2017 Nissan Micra that is available globally but an updated version of the current model on sale.
The 2017 Nissan Micra comes with new features and sporty enhancements and is priced at INR 6.3 Lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai) onwards. The new features include auto headlamps, rain sensing wipers and ‘lead me to car’ lights.
There are no changes to the exterior of the car. Inside, the Micra now comes with new European black theme with an enhanced piano black finish and is finish accompanied by orange accents on the seats, dashboard and arm rest.
The 2017 Nissan Micra also gets a new 2-DIN audio system with Bluetooth as a standard feature. Sadly this isn’t a touchscreen and does not have provision for navigation as well. Other features include steering mounted controls, push stop-start button, intelligent key, led tail lamps and Automatic AC.

The 2017 Nissan Micra is available with a choice of two powertrains – a 1.2-litre petrol engine mated to X-Tronic CVT Automatic transmission and a 1.5-litre diesel paired with a 5-speed manual transmission.
Nissan has also updated the Micra Active which is powered by 1.2-litre petrol engine and mated to a manual transmission. It now comes with new sporty bumpers and new steering wheel with Bluetooth and audio controls.

The Nissan Micra is available in 7 exterior colours – Sunshine Orange, Brick Red, Onyx Black, Blade Silver, Turquoise Blue, Nightshade and Storm White
2017 Nissan Micra Fuel Efficiency:
Fuel economy figures for the diesel variant is rated at 23.08 kmpl while the X-Tronic CVT Automatic variant returns 19.34 kmpl under ARAI test conditions.
