Ford India has launched new variants of its hatchback and the compact sedan. The new models called as Ford Figo Sports and Ford Aspire Sports are based on the Titanium Manual trim and are available in both diesel and petrol engines.
Mechanically both the cars are similar as the regular models and are powered by the same 1.2-litre petrol (87 hp / 113 Nm) and 1.5-litre diesel (99 hp / 215 Nm) engines. Both the engines are paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The suspension has been retuned and Ford describes it as the ‘Sports Suspension’. The Ford Figo Sports also receives a ‘Secondary Clutch Switch’ which the company claims make it even sportier.
2017 Ford Figo Sports Edition
The Ford Figo Sports gets a dual tone paint scheme and is available in five colours – Sparkling Gold, Tuxedo Black, Ruby Red, Ingot Silver and Oxford White. All colour options get the roof and outside rear view mirrors finished in gloss black paint, except the Tuxedo Black option which gets the same in a shiny white finish.
To make the car worthy of the Sports badge Ford has added the headlamps with black bezel, a honeycomb mesh grille, black fog lamp bezels, 15-inch Panther Black alloy wheels along with side and rear decals with ‘S’ branding.
Inside the Figo Sports Edition gets red coloured stitching on the seats and gear knob cover. The leather wrapped steering also gets red stitching, while the inner door handle, center console, door applique, steering wheel bezel are finished in Proteus Black.

2017 Ford Aspire Sports Edition
The Ford Aspire Sports Edition gets new 5-spoke 15-inch silver alloy wheels along with the ‘S’ badging decals on the side and rear. The chrome grill from the regular variants is substituted with a black one and inside the compact sedan gets an all-black interior with Fog Grey Stitching on the seats, leather wrapped steering and the gear knob cover.
The Aspire Sports Edition is available 7 colour choices – in Ruby Red, Absolute Black, Deep Impact Blue, Ingot Silver, Sparkling Gold, Oxford White and Smoke Grey.
