Lexus ES300h mid-size hybrid luxury sedan has been launched in India along with the RX450h and LX450d. These launches mark the entry of the Japanese car maker into one of the world’s fastest growing economy. The flagship sedan Lexus LS will also be introduced to the market in 2018.
The vehicles will be brought in as completely built Units (CBU) and will be available through exclusive Lexus showrooms which are currently located in New Delhi, Gurgaon, Mumbai, and Bangalore. Additionally, after sales service facilities will also be available in Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Chennai and Kochi.
The Lexus ES300h features a one piece spindle grille design with incorporated Lexus logo along with blue hybrid badging, LED headlamps with partially separated DRLs, side mirrors with integrated turn signals, integrated fog lamps, lip spoiler, shark fin antenna, 17-inch alloy wheels and distinctive wrap-around LED taillights.

The Lexus ES300h is powered by a 2.5-litre petrol engine with an electric motor and the combined power output is 205 PS. An electronically controlled continuously variable transmission (e-CVT) carries out the duty of providing this power to the front wheels. The hybrid luxury sedan can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.5 seconds while the top speed is restricted to 180 km/h. Lexus claims the fuel mileage stands at 18.5 km/L.
