The 2017 Bajaj Pulsar RS200 (RS stands for Race Sport) has been upgraded to comply with the BS-IV emission norm standards, which will have to be followed by all manufacturers by April 1, 2017. The full faired Pulsar also gets two new color schemes: Racing Blue and Graphite Black.
Powering the 2017 Bajaj Pulsar RS200 is the same single cylinder 200cc , 4 stroke, SOHC 4-valve, liquid cooled, triple spark engine with fuel injection technology but has now been tweaked to be in accordance to the BS-IV standards.
The engine performance figures have not been updated but we can expect it to produce similar figures as the previous model which are 24.5 PS of power at 9750 RPM and a torque of 18.6 Nm at 8000 RPM. The company claims the bike can reach a top speed of 141 kmph.
At front the Bajaj Pulsar RS200 has telescopic forks while a Nitrox mono shock absorber with canister does the work at the rear. Brakes consist of a 300 mm front disc and 230 mm at the rear. The RS200 is also available with a single-channel ABS variant. Other features include twin projector headlamps, crystal led tail lights, perimeter frame and a 13 litre fuel tank.
