Maruti Suzuki is gearing up for the launch of the new S-Cross for this festive season. The company has started accepting bookings and has revealed the Indian-spec model via official images. Maruti Suzuki S-cross is an urban crossover which will be available through the exclusive NEXA channel.
The S-Cross facelift gets a more aggressive and bold exterior look. It now has a masculine and powerful upright stance which is accentuated by a sculpted hood design. The new Maruti Suzuki S-Cross sports newly designed LED projector headlamps with hockey stick shaped Daylight Running Lamps (DRLs).
The front chrome grille is now bigger and features 10 vertical slats with the Suzuki logo sitting in the center. The front bumper has also been revised and now is raised and is fitted with faux skid plate giving the new S-Cross a rugged look.
At the side the new S-Cross is similar to the current model and the only difference seen is the contrasting 16-inch two-tone machine finished alloys fitted with wider 215-section tires. At the rear, we can spot the new combination lamps which are equipped with LEDs. The tail lamp design is now cleaner, sharper and more contemporary in style. The bumper is similar to the current model and sports the rugged looking skid plate.

Inside, the new Maruti Suzuki S-Cross facelift sports a soft touch dashboard, well-coordinated seat fabric designs and a satin chrome accent finish which gives the crossover a classy look. The 7-inch Suzuki Smartplay touchscreen system comes with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity. The piano black colored central panel and the premium leather finish arm-rest, adds a dash of premium-ness to the new S-Cross.
Powering the new S-Cross is the DDiS 200 engine with Smart Hybrid technology which develops 90 PS at 4000 rpm and a torque of 200 Nm at 1750 rpm. This makes it the third Maruti Suzuki product to host the DDiS 200 with Smart Hybrid technology. The crossover is packed with features like idle-stop-start, torque assist, brake energy regeneration system and a gearshift indicator which enhance energy efficiency in the S-Cross facelift.
The new Maruti Suzuki S-Cross has been tested at the company’s world-class Rohtak R&D facility for frontal offset crash, side impact and pedestrian safety. It is among the six models that already comply with advanced upcoming new safety norms.
The crossover comes with rear seat ISO-FIX child seat safety mount, Dual front airbags, ABS with EBD and front seat belt with pre-tensioners and Force Limiters. The new S-Cross is also equipped with Cruise Control, Rear Parking Sensors with Camera, Auto Headlamps, Rain-Sensing Auto Wipers.
