Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd (M&M Ltd), has launched the e-Alfa Mini, its zero emission, all new electric rickshaw for passenger movement. The Mahindra e-Alfa Mini will be launched in NCR with immediate effect followed Kolkata, Lucknow and in a phased manner in several other parts of the country.
The Mahindra e-Alfa Mini electric rickshaw has been designed for last mile connectivity and intra-city people movement. It comes with a 4+1 seating capacity. It is a complete 3 Wheeler designed specifically for Indian conditions and will further drive the company’s vision of the Future of Mobility. It features an attractive exterior design with stylish canopy and black mudguard. The dual headlamps on the new e-Alfa Mini offer better visibility.
Inside the Mahindra e-Alfa Mini electric rickshaw offers large cabin space for passenger comfort. There is more headroom, legroom and shoulder room as compared to its competitors in the segment. It also gets an attractive car like instrument panel, black dashboard and red dual tone interiors. The e-rickshaw weighs 758 kg and measures 2750 mm in length, 990 mm in width and 1770 mm in height. It also has a wheelbase of 2168 mm.
Mahindra e-Alfa Mini electric rickshaw sports the tough and rugged Mahindra DNA and has been engineered for all types of terrain. It is equipped with a strong suspension, a robust body and best-in-class chassis.
Powering the Mahindra e-Alfa Mini electric rickshaw is a 1000 W brushless DC motor with a rated output of 1.01 kW at 3120 rpm. It produces a maximum torque of 3.2 Nm at 3000 rpm. This power is transmitted directly to the rear wheels via a differential. It runs on a 48V, 120Ah battery and has a mileage of 85 km per charge in standard conditions. The e-rickshaw can reach a top speed on 25 km/h.

The electric rickshaw will currently be available in Delhi and is launched at an attractive price of INR 1.12 Lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
